An IMS representative will engage with key personnel in management, HR and safety/risk to identify the needs and goals of your company. We will review existing and past injury prevention programs, OSHA logs, current job descriptions and task performance.
With the Onsite Training, Program we will train your current staff on the IMS injury-prevention techniques. We will also teach your managers/supervisors how to execute the program going forward. This comprehensive program includes:
Pre-Shift Conditioning Training (PSC)
The IMS Pre-Shift Conditioning (PSC) techniques are fundamental in the process of changing behaviors, creating safe task techniques and assisting the management of both existing injuries and developing conditions. Once the techniques are taught, this program is a simple but remarkably effective routine that requires only about 5 minutes per day to for employees to perform.
Each employee will attend 2 sessions spaced approximately 2 weeks apart. Each session is approximately 30 minutes in length and is performed at your facility. The effectiveness of the classes is optimized by limited the class size to a maximum of 20 employees per instructor. Even a facility with several hundred employees can be trained with minimal interruption to their normal operations.
Pre-Shift Conditioning instructional videos are available to supplement the training. Video 1 is a 3-minute video that takes the employees through the PSC program step-by-step. It is done in real time and employees follow the instructions provided on the video. Video 2 is a 15-minute video that teaches each of the techniques in detail. This video can be used for new hires, RTW following injuries or for employee review.
The key to the success and longevity of the IMS program lies with the “buy-in” and involvement of the management team. This training teaches managers and supervisors how to use the IMS program and optimize its effectiveness.
Managers and supervisors will learn how to lead their crews in the Pre-Shift Conditioning techniques and how the PSC is used as a daily injury prevention screen. They will also learn how to effectively identify unsafe behaviors and how to correct them with the PSC techniques, both during the Pre-Shift Conditioning and while employees are performing their job duties.
This training is a 1 to 2 hour class that is performed at your facility after the Pre-Shift Conditioning Training.
